Mission Impossible isn’t a typical action movie. I don’t remember watching the first 3 movies, but this new one is worth watching. The most interesting scenes were the ones shot in Dubai. The opening scene in Dubai shows the massive sand dunes in the Emirati desert, and then zooms in to the team’s car. It shows that they were about to run into a group of camels walking in the middle of the street. The mistake was that the street had fences on both sides that prevent any animals from leaving the desert and any cars from entering. How the camels ended up on the street is a mystery to me. Also, Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise, and his team checks in into 130th floor of Burj Khalifa Hotel. However, Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa occupies below the 40th floor. Ethan Hunt starts chasing after Wistrom, his enemy, through a sandstorm. It was coming from the front of Burj Khalifa, yet when they exit out front, the storm hits the building from the back. Both weren’t wearing anything that covers their faces. Ethan later wears goggles and raps a scarf around his mouth and nose while Wistrom just covers his face with a scarf. They ran and drove separate cars for more than 5 minutes without coughing or pausing once because of the storm. It’s impossible to be able to breathe in that type of sandstorm, let alone run or drive! The dust cloud then passes by really fast and the sky becomes clear in a few seconds. That is impossible. That’s because a similar sandstorm happened in Kuwait in March of this year. It’s a really rare type of storm and it lasts for hours before it clears out and it’s impossible to be able to do anything outdoors.
Overall the movie is worth watching, especially in IMAX.
