Al Fahm – Best Mini Burgers

This isn’t some fancy burger restaurant, but in my opinion it has one of the best mini burgers ever. I tried it a couple of times and I was so excited to see them on 6alabat.com! It has a sort of Lebanese/Middle Eastern menu, but I never tried anything except the burger and fries. Now about the burgers. They’re good. The bun is really soft and fresh. The meat itself is really tender and what I love about it (some might disagree) is the spices in the meat. Some people enjoy really bland meat, but the spices in this one is really something. The toppings are nothing much just the basic cheese, ketchup, mayo, pickles and I think they put onions.

It’s a different twist to the type of burgers we’re used to & don’t judge them from the pictures on 6alabat. They actually look better in real life. Don’t forget to order the fries!

Hashtag Burger – My Experience

20120425-213519.jpg

In the past month, many burger places started opening up. The only one I’ve tried so far is Hashtag burger. My experience was beyond amazing. The best thing was that an eight year-old boy took our orders! He was the cutest thing ever. He knew how to explain the menu and ask us for our order and then punched them in! He told us that one of the burgers proceeds go to a charity, which was really cool. He even knew how to use the K-net machine. After that he told us to wait for ten minutes, so that they can get our food ready.

Now, to the burgers. My sister ordered yellowland (cheeseburger) and I ordered Hashtag (mushrooms, grilled onions). We shared the burgers, so that we get to try both! They were really good because each part was fresh and cooked perfectly. I liked the hashtag burger more because of the sauce. It’s like a honey mustard sauce, but its really light and tasty. The french fries were very weird. They had too much seasoning and not a lot of salt. It kind of tasted sweet. At first I didn’t like it, but after I got used to the taste I realized that it’s amazing!

Definitely not your typical burger joint. It’s better.

Container 75 – Review

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Container 75 is the ‘it’ restaurant in Kuwait right now. It’s NOT a unique concept and NOT in a very ‘cool’ location. The only thing they DO have is GOOD food. The restaurant is located in Jabriya right next to Salad Boutique and not far away from Zero Degrees. It cannot be missed because it’s the only container shaped like building in that street. The interior is very cozy and the staff was very polite. We ordered french fries, mozzarella sticks, chicken starter thing, 3 mini cheeseburgers (toledo, old port, normandy port). For desert we had knock out pudding. The fries tasted liked Mcdonalds fries – I mean that as a compliment! The mozzarella sticks were extremely hot when they arrived, but it tasted amazing nonetheless. The chicken thing (really trying hard to recall it’s name) is basically fried chicken strips covered with a sweet sauce. They were really cold, which was a disappointment because they tasted great. The cheeseburgers were all really good, especially the toledo. I usually don’t like mushrooms in my burger, but the way it was assembled made a difference. The sauce and the mushroom weren’t mixed together which makes a huge alteration to its taste. It’s probably the only reason why it was so savor. I really recommend trying the pudding, but don’t imagine it as bread pudding because it is not. That was my problem because I expected to be that way and it turned out to be mostly chocolate and digestive. Definitely going to go there again and next time I want to try their jalapeño poppers and their salads.

Cocoa Room – Dinner

I just finished having dinner with my friends in Cocoa Room. I already posted a review about their breakfast a few months back. So, I’ll briefly tell you the highlights of the dinner. Their cheese burger and nutella souffle were the best. The burger was a bit greasy, but I love the fact that we can assemble it the way we want. In addition, the fries had the perfect amount of salt and crisp. The nutella souffle is a completely other story. It was perfect. Heavenly.

UPDATE I just realized that the pictures are really unclear. Don’t judge from them.

Shake Shack Kuwait Opening In July

I heard rumors from a friend that Shake Shack will be opening in July. It’s going to located in Avenues Phase 1 (it’s where PQ used to be). I really hope that the rumor is true! But its too bad I won’t be in Kuwait at that time. I really want to try their burger. It already opened up in Dubai and people who have tried it say its amazing.

Don’t you think that there’s too many burger places now? Don’t they all kind of taste the same? Only difference is the type of sauce they use. I really do hope that Shake Shack would be worth the wait and not just like any burger place we have here.
