My Addiction to Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time is a TV show that has been out for quite some time, but only now did I take notice of it. A friend kept on telling me to watch it, but I didn’t think I would like it. At first I saw a few episodes, but I really didn’t have time to watch the rest. Now that time is in my favor, I started watching it again. In a matter of few days I reached episode 16 of the first season. The show reached season 2, episode 12, so I still have a lot of catching up to do.

Here’s a synopsis of the show!

Emma Swan gets the surprise of her life when Henry, the son she gave up 10 years ago, arrives on her doorstep. Returning the boy to his adoptive mother becomes complicated when Henry reveals a stunning theory to Emma. Everyone in Storybrooke, Maine is a fairytale character under a curse, and Emma – as the long lost daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming – is the one who can save them all. The story unfolds; interweaving scenes of the drama in the sleepy New England town and the inhabitants’ past lives in the world of fairy tales. The timeless battle of good vs evil is ready to begin again.

Suburgatory – Review

A small part of my day during Ramadan is spent watching tv shows. Other than the usual Arabic shows, I started watching Suburgatory. It’s about a teenage girl that was forced to move to the suburbs. She used to live in the city and she desperately wants to go back. The show is really well written and quite funny! It explores “the differences between people raised in different ways but also shows, no matter where you grow up, there are certain universal truths that connect us.” Link I really recommend this show for a good laugh. The first season has just finished and the next one will be airing on a yet unannounced date.

2 Broke Girls

The latest CBS comedy series that has come out is 2 Broke Girls starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs. Both actresses are young, beautiful with a good mixture of casting between young, and old throughout the cast. It’s funny, and enjoyable to watch plus it’s only 20 minutes long, so it never gets boring. The characters are hilarious, and easy to relate to! This show with its 9th episode airing this week has plenty of potential! I watched the first five episodes back to back. It’s that good.

Scope – Why?

Scope was interviewing an actress from Al Malika that should have looked twice at the mirror before going on air.

Better Than Usual

This Ramadan the commercials weren’t as good as I expected, but some turned out really good. The ones I really liked were Gulf Bank and Quality Net. They were creative and they weren’t similar to ones they’ve done in the past. I congratulate them for being the best up to now. The worst, surprisingly, was the NBK one. After the success of the last two commercials, they have failed. They used the same kids and dance moves as the last ones.

Recent American TV Shows

Shows I started watching, but never finished:

Lost

Chuck

Heroes

The Middle

Gossip Girl

Grey’s Anatomy

Desperate Housewives

They’re all really nice, but I lost interest in all of them. I don’t really have that much time to watch them either. I’ve been watching Pretty Little Liars recently and it’s amazing! If you don’t know about the show, I’ve posted about it earlier. I also love 90210! They aired a couple of episodes a few weeks ago. Do you guys have any suggestions for new shows?

MBC 3 Influenced By Al Rai

Not surprised at all.

A couple of months ago, I posted about the crazy hairdos of 2 female presenters on Al Rai TV. I was afraid of it becoming a trend and apparently, it is one now.
