I can never answer this question without thinking about the most inspiring person I have ever known. Her name is Danderma (a Kuwaiti blogger). Even though she may not know this, but she is truly an inspiration.
I was asked that question a long time ago and I wasn’t able to answer it. It’s hard to explain who she is if someone doesn’t know what a blog is. It’s so weird that in the blogging world there are so many famous people, but at the same time people not into blogs don’t know them. The blogging world never collided with the real world. Even if a blogger was really famous, a person that doesn’t read blogs would not know him or her. So, when will our worlds collide? When will the time come when talking about blogs is a typical question to ask? “So, how’s your blog?” people would say instead of the usual “How are you?”
The next time someone asks me that question I hope my answer wouldn’t be weird to you. A person that inspires you doesn’t have to be famous or historic. They just have to matter to you and what you think.

I don’t think that blogs will be so important as to replace people saying “how are you ?” But you are right, in this age people are fighting for computer literacy. Not to mention the blogging community, and locally in the middle east, new generations seem to have a better understanding, yet these two worlds are far from collision.
You never know what might happen next! Blogging might become extremely important. And that’s so true about the computer illiteracy! Our generation is very lucky that we got used to the internet at an early age.
I don’t think they would collide in the near future. Many bloggers prefer to be unknown. Many of them, me included, don’t prefer putting their pic as profile. They don’t prefer to be photographed and interviewed publicly.
My family and friends don’t know that I have a blog. I don’t want them to know though. I think that I can express more freely when am not watched by family and close friends.
The same applies to my twitter
I know what you mean by real world not colliding with the blog world. I see it around my friends all the time. Its so difficult to explain or talk about it to them.So well I just don’t!

You’re absolutely right Summer. Inspiration doesn’t have to be from someone famous at all. It can be from any person doing the simplest thing as long it matters to you. As for the two worlds that might collide… I don’t think that’s going to happen especially in the Kuwait community because everyone now is interested in Iphones and Blackberry’s with their respective services and programs.
The blog world will take time to gain people’s attention, but I hope it will eventually clash with our world. Keep it up summer. I like it.
Thank you! and I really think that the colliding thing will happen one day. But you’re also right people are more interested in devices and technology than blogging!
